Builders Energy Rater is nationally certified by the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET), participates in RESNET’s Quality Assurance Program and is an ENERGY STAR partner.

RESNET is a non-profit organization that was created by the National Association of State Energy Offices and is overseen by a committee from the National Mortgage Bankers Association and a Board of Directors. RESNET authors the national standards for performing Home Energy Ratings.

HERS Rater- The Certified Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Rater course has a failure rate higher than 50% and there are less than 100 people in the country that have achieved the Quality Assurance Designee (QAD) certification, an advanced level of HERS Rater proficiency. Builders Energy Rater has 3 Certified HERS Raters, including one that has achieved the QAD certification. Additionally, we have 3 field inspectors who perform the required visual inspections and performance testing. Professional Memberships:
